The European Fragrance and Cosmetic Master (EFCM) was created at the initiative of the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and the groupe ISIPCA, in partnership with the University of Padova in Italy.

The UVSQ is renowned for its multidisciplinary choice of subjects with strengths in scientific fields. The University has a strong potential in research and specifically in chemistry. Since 1993 the UVSQ, in partnership with groupe ISIPCA provide an educational programme for specialists in cosmetics, fragrances and food flavouring (master level) in partnership with the industry.

Since 1984 the groupe ISIPCA is backed and managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Versailles Val d’Oise/Yvelines, the second biggest Chamber of Commerce in France. For years now, the groupe ISIPCA has been the leading training Institute worldwide in the development of perfumery and cosmetics along with food flavourings
